Stroke Survivor (My Journey to 100)

I am 93 years old and never thought someone would be teaching me how to walk at my age. I sure didn’t think I’d be doing all these exercises, but it’s working. Karen has high expectations which results in me doing things I never thought I could do. Karen expects that I will live to over 100, so she is making me get stronger, more flexible, and stand on one foot.

As I’ve gotten older, everyone tells me that I should “slow down” and “sit down”, but Karen tells me to “speed up” and “stand up”! Her patience and keen attention to my every step is appreciated and I’m wondering what I’ll be able to do next year when I’m 94.

Here I am after working with Karen for just one hour.
